If like us you are a skier or snowboarder who is also passionate about fishing, this is quite possibly the adventure of a lifetime - heli skiing velvety -smooth corn snow in the morning and fishing for massive king salmon in the afternoon.
From your base at the historic Tweedsmuir Lodge near Bella Coola, British Columbia you will have the chance to explore the rugged terrain of the Coast Mountains in a group of 4 or 5 skiers or boarders and an A-Star B2 helicopter. In early summers and late spring, the runs are, on average, 900 vertical meters (3000 feet) long and groomed to perfection by nature.
The rivers around coastal British Columbia offer some of the most exceptional fresh water game fishing in the world. Primarily you will be targeting the mighty King or 'Chinook' Salmon. The average weight of these powerful fish is an astonishing 25 lbs (12kg) with fish up to 50 lbs (23kg) not uncommon. They are aggressive fighters that will test the skill and nerve of the most accomplished fly-fisherman. Sturdy gear is essential!! Other fish in the river systems include: rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and dolly varden with an average size of 2-4 lbs.
Experienced guides, both heli skiing and fishing, will help out every step of the way. You will stay in newly constructed cabins with private bathroom and shower, a main bedroom, a loft, and a fireplace. The main lodge includes: a huge dining room / living room with fireplace; sports bar with pool table and games; satellite TV; a large outdoor hot tub; a guest media room with satellite linked computer; fax and phone service; and a fitness room.

2011 Heliski / Fly Fish Rates
- 3 nights - CAD $5,280 (Includes 25,000 vertical feet of heli skiing & two river floats)
- 4 nights - CAD $6,580 (Includes 34,000 vertical feet of heli skiing & three river floats)
- 5 nights - CAD $7,780 (Includes 42,000 vertical feet of heli skiing & four river floats)
- Rates are in Canadian dollars and subject to 6% HST for non-Canadian citizens.
- Prices based on a minimum of four guests per week.
- For single occupancy, add CAD $150 per night.
- Packages are available from April to June.
Included:
- Return flights from Vancouver to Bella Coola and ground transfer to Tweedsmuir lodge.
- Heli skiing
