The Heliskiing

The heliskiing in Turkey is world-class. Runs in the Kaçkar Range average around 900 metres and the terrain has a good variety but very few glacial runs. There is not an abundance of tree skiing but this is more than made up for by some breathtaking alpine terrain.

The norm here is to expect good powder but as with anywhere, conditions of any kind should be expected.

Small groups of only four heliskiers per guide make for an intimate, high quality heli ski experience.

Lodging

Guests opting for the Turkish Delight Package stay at the three star "Hasimoglu" hotel in Ayder, which has small rooms with en suite bathrooms / showers. They are no height of luxury but are clean and comfortable with reasonably good facilities. The hotel is equipped with telephone, satellite TV, mini bar, hair dryer and wireless internet access. Adjacent to the hotel there is a thermal spring spa - the perfect way to wind down after a long day heli skiing.

Guests opting for the Black Sea Private Package will stay at the four star "Ridos" hotel just outside of Ikizdere, in the Rize region, about an hour and a half drive from Trabzon airport. The hotel sits at an altitude of 800m in a small valley above the town and was newly built in 2009. It has 150 rooms, is spacious and has all the amenities of a luxury hotel, including a spa and swimming pool. The fifth floor, which includes the "Roofbar", is exclusively for the use of Turkey Heliski guests.

Helicopters & Safety

The helicopters used at Turkey Heliski are A-Star B2's owned and operated by the highly reputable, Air Zermatt in Switzerland. Strict maintenance procedures are followed and both mechanics and pilots are from Switzerland and posses a wealth of expertise and experience.

The guiding team at Turkey heliski is one of the most experienced and professional found at any heli ski operation. They are all UIAGM certified and have vast experience within the heliski industry. Each client is equipped with an ABS Airbag, avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe and instructed in their use.

2012 Heliski Rates

• Rates are per person in Euros.
• Single person supplement: €320 / week.
• Packages run from Saturday to Sunday with departure from your home country on the day your heli ski package starts.

• Return ground transfers from Trabzon Airport to Ayder.
• Seven nights accommodation at the hotel in Ayder (double occupancy).
• One night hotel accommodation at the Trabzon Airport Novotel on your last night (double occupancy).
• All meals.
• Seven days heli skiing, including 30,500 vertical metres of skiing (20,000 guaranteed).

Not Included

• International flights.
• Internal flights from Istanbul to Trabzon (please consult us).
• Heli skiing on excess of that included in your package (charged at €98.00 per 1,000 vertical metres).
• Visas fees (if required).
• Insurance. This MUST cover you specifically for heli skiing. Please ask us for advice if you are unsure of your options or consider our customised heliski insurance.
