One of the pioneers of Canadian heli-skiing, Selkirk Tangiers has been in business for over 35 years and is strategically located in the epicentre of the Canadian heliski world.

The Selkirk and Monashee mountains are known for receiving a vast amount of dry snow. The high quality of snow coupled with its unique terrain features makes these mountains a world-famous heli-ski destination.

The multi-day packages can include three, five or six-days' heli-skiing based at the Hillcrest Hotel just outside Downtown Revelstoke. We recommend spending a few days warming up at Revelstoke Mountain Resort with one of our combination trips before moving on to the heliskiing.

Quality and Quantity

The Selkirk and Monashee mountains are renowned for their snowfall - both the quantity (40-60 feet per winter) and quality - the perfect humidity, being drier than the coastal BC ranges, yet with just enough density).

Flexibility to mix it up

The possibility of 3, 5 and 6 day packages and combinations with resort-skiing at RMR make this a really versatile package to mix heliskiing with North America's biggest lift-served vertical.

Old-growth trees on steep-sided mountains

Skiing old-growth forest is pretty special as the spacing between the huge trees and pitch of the mountain side makes for uncannily perfect gaps every time you turn a corner. Above the forested area, there is plenty of wide-open terrain for the bluebird days.

Value for Money

Shorter-duration packages in large, Bell 205 helicopters bring heliskiing in some of the best terrain and conditions within the means of many.

The 3, 5 and 6 day classic packages include everything you need - accommodation, all your meals, an allocation (and a guarantee) of vertical metres and powder skis or snowboard.
Bell 205 helicopters enable groups of up to 10 (plus 2 guides) to explore the vast tenure of over half a million acres, which is typically blanketed in substantial quantities of dry powder for which the Selkirks and Monashees of British Columbia's interior is renowned.
5 and 6 day packages commence with arrival on Saturday afternoon with Sunday as the first ski day. Arrival for 3 day packages is on Saturday or Wednesday (skiing Sun/Mon/Tue or Thu/Fri/Sat).
3 day packages operate from December to April. 5 and 6 day packages operate from January to April.
