We’ve done a round-up of some of the best remaining dates for a powder fix in 2026. The list is by no means exhaustive (especially if you are just needing one or two spots), but spaces are limited and subject to ongoing enquiries.

January

January often sees some of the deepest and steepest skiing of the season in British Columbia. Cold temperatures and big snowfalls make it a great time to head for the trees.


This is prime time in the BC Interior. Choose from a small group 4-day programme or a 3-day classic with unlimited vertical after a couple of warm-up days at Revelstoke Mountain Resort..

  • 13-18 January | 3 days at Revelstoke Mountain Resort followed by 4 days' small group heli-skiing | CA $16,650pp
  • 13-17 January | 3 days at Revelstoke Mountain Resort then 3 days' heli-skiing | CA $9,680pp


There are a couple of seats left at Ripley Creek in the last week of January. Right on the Alaskan border with fantastic old-growth tree skiing, this could be the right place at the right time.

By late January, a short heliski break to the Spanish Pyrenees could be a great alternative to a visit to the Alps

February

By February, the early season base is enhanced with fresh snowfalls with enough accumulation for pillow lines and glaciated runs to open up.

The first week of February at Great Bear could mean old-growth rainforest tree skiing or making first descents.

Last Frontier Heliskiing’s Safari programme divides the time between both lodges giving you the best of both worlds in the heart of the season.

Warm up in Whistler before the weekend, then taking it up a notch further at Tyax Lodge's single group programme in the Chilcotin Range.

In the second half of February, a mid-season private programme in Spain’s Pyrenees could be a great long weekend away;

March

When the BC season often moves into the higher elevations, the season in AK and Iceland is just getting going.


Early season Alaska is not without its risks in terms of weather, but Palmer’s strategic location ensures there are options in every direction. And what if you got lucky?

March often sees fresh snowfalls in Iceland so this is the time to ski powder to the beach and getting there from the UK has never been easier with direct flights from London Gatwick to Akureyri, just an hour’s drive from Klaengshòll Lodge.

If you should be unlucky with the weather, an enhanced guarantee applies in March to give you a bigger credit to try again later in the season or in 2027.

Greenland is heliskiing’s final frontier with extraordinary scenery and an experience like no other.

April

Easy to overlook, early April often delivers fresh snowfall and greater stability means the potential to ski steeper lines in the high alpine.


Ripley Creek next to Alaska’s panhandle has vast terrain to explore with plenty of glaciated runs.

In Iceland, Greenland and Alaska, April is prime time, so there isn’t much left, but cancellations often come to light about this time of year. so contact us for the latest update.


Sweden saw incredible amounts of snow in 2025. Could 2026 be another vintage year?

May

When northern hemisphere dwellers tend to be thinking about summer, diehard skiers and snowboarders can (and sometimes do) ski all “night” in the Arctic.


Research vessel RV Explorer, a favourite of feature films like Mission Impossible and wildlife documentaries has just become available as the ideal platform for a ski-touring sail & ski expedition in Svalbard. Ski-tourers and non-skiers will be equally enthralled by this arctic wilderness.
