Private Heli-Skiing Hideaway

British Columbia's Himalayas

Terra Nostra Guest Ranch is a private heli-hideaway situated on the Chilcotin plateau in an area still largely unexplored on skis. With the giant 4,019 metre Mt Waddington (British Columbia’s highest peak) only 60 km away the area is dominated by huge glaciers and the massive vertical relief is truly Himalayan in scale. Dominated by alpine terrain but with enough tree skiing to fall back on in poor weather, there is terrain to suit all conditions. Being stategically located on the lee side of the coast mountains, the area experiences a perfect combination of plenty of good weather for heliskiing combined with dry powder snow.

The single group completely eliminates waiting time between runs and ensures you can ski entirely at your own pace and on the terrain that you want to ski.

Non-Skiing Activities

The Clearwater lake is solid ice for most of the winter so there is also ice skating and ice fishing on the doorstep. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are also on offer.

Heli-Ski Safari

This is not your regular Canadian heli-skiing. This is big wild northern British Columbia and compared to southern BC with all of its heli-ski operations sandwiched together; it’s like a different country.

Relaxed Booking Conditions

By Elemental Adventure •

We understand that the world is now a different place to just several weeks ago and that putting down significant amounts of money for a holiday that is many months away, represents a new level of risk.

We have been looking (and continue to look) at ways to reduce that risk in order to give you some peace of mind as well as the much-needed excitement of an epic ski trip to look forward to.

A more distant, end of the earth type place would be hard to imagine and for the past four years I had dreamed of skiing these gigantic volcanoes that rise so abruptly from the mythical sounding, Sea of Okhotsk.
